Project: Light Rail Infrastructure

Contract Duration: 12–18 months

Start Date: Mid June to early July

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:30

The Lead Engineer will provide senior technical leadership and assurance, ensuring engineering activities support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of a major light rail infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as technical authority for the assigned discipline and scope of works
  • Ensure correct application of designs, specifications, and industry standards
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical queries (TQs) and engineering risks
  • Provide constructability, methodology, and sequencing input to the delivery team
  • Define inspection requirements, hold points, and acceptance criteria
  • Review, endorse, and sign off as-built documentation and handover records
  • Mentor and support Engineers and Trainee Engineers on site

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in a Lead Engineer or Senior Engineer role
  • Strong background in rail, light rail, or major infrastructure projects
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering standards, assurance, and quality processes
  • Ability to manage technical risk and support safe construction delivery
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
