- Lead and oversee signalling testing activities during Points Grinding works in line with Network Rail standards.
- Carry out SMTH testing after points grinding activities.
- Work collaboratively alongside Welders and track delivery teams to ensure safe and compliant integration of signalling assets.
- Perform fault‑finding, diagnostics, and problem resolution on signalling equipment.
- Ensure full compliance with safety requirements and investigate system failures.
- Mentor and support members of the signalling team.
- Accurately report and escalate issues arising during installations and renewals.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as an SMTH Tester on signalling renewals.
- SMTH (a), (b), (c)/Basic Electrical Safety (BS1 & BS2) HW and Clamp Box competence – essential.
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel and work away.
