We are exclusively partnering with an industry leading and extremely well-known brand on the lookout for an experienced Senior HR & Change Business Partner to cover Essex and the South East of England. The Senior HR & Change Business Partner will undertake a pivotal role in driving the people agenda across a designated region. Acting as a strategic partner and coach to the leadership team, this role ensures alignment between business objectives and HR strategies.
As a Strategic Business Partner this position will pro-actively set the people agenda and hold stakeholders to account for the effective delivery of agreed plans. In addition, the role will provide leadership and direction to a regional HR team, including an HR Manager and HR Advisor(s), ensuring effective delivery of HR services and transformation initiatives. As a member of the People Leadership Team (PLT), the Senior HRBP will contribute in shaping and delivering the overall HR strategy, fostering a culture of high performance, engagement, and inclusion. In addition, the role-holder will be the Company-wide HR lead in a particular topic or topics (for example DE&I, HR Policy & Legislation, Culture and Engagement, Change Management or Occupational Health etc. as determined by the CHRO). In this capacity they will be the company expert in the topic, designing the company’s approach, activities, policies and procedures and advising on how to roll out through the regional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership: Partner with the regional leadership team to deliver the people & change strategy aligned with business priorities. Act as a trusted advisor on all HR and Change Management matters, including workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organizational development. A key member of Regional Senior Leadership team with an expectation to be curious and actively contribute to regional leadership discussions beyond HR.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a regional HR team, including an HR Manager and HR Advisor(s), fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and ensure capability development within the team.
- HR Strategy & Delivery: Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion within the region. Collaborate with the CHRO and People Leadership Team to influence and implement enterprise-wide HR programs and policies. Provide regional insight and input to company reward and recognition, talent, learning and resourcing strategies. Attraction and recruitment of key senior roles in the region.
- Change & Transformation: Lead regional change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions, stakeholder engagement and embedding of change. Support organisational design and workforce planning to enable business growth and agility.
- Governance & Compliance: Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company standards. Monitor and analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Role model and champion safe methods of work, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate Visible Felt Leadership by actively promoting a safety-first culture and engaging with teams to reinforce safe working practices.
- Lead Role: To take lead responsibility for the overall (Company-side) governance, understanding planning and execution of a lead role (topic) as agreed by CHRO.
We would like you to have/be:
- Proven experience as a Senior HR Business partner, Senior Change Partner or similar strategic HR role.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing HR or Change professionals across multiple sites or regions.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organisational development.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Leadership: Inspires and develops high-performing teams.
- Influencing & Relationship Building: Builds trust and credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Change Management: Leads transformation with clarity and confidence.
- Safety Leadership: Champions health and safety through visible, proactive engagement.
- Experience in a multi-site or regional HR leadership role.
- Background in driving cultural change and transformation programs.
- Ability to utilise appropriate change management methodologies to achieve positive outcomes.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent and or Professional Change Management Qualification.
