We are working with an industry leading client on the lookout for an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Technician (HGV Technician) to join one of their sites in Bury St Edmunds. This is a pivotal role that will be part of a great team, helping the business operate and deliver across the whole of the UK.

Shift Pattern

  • Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am - 3pm
  • Back Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 11:30pm
  • Overtime: Saturday Mornings, 6am - 12Midday
  • On-Call Rota 1 in 4 weeks (Additional payment for on call)

  • £5,000 Sign‑On Bonus after successful completion of 3 month settling in period.

What the role will provide

  • Structured training, including in‑house programmes such as LPG Basics, Wheel Security, Basic Electrics, and more.
  • Specialist outsourced training such as IRTEC Inspection, ADR (Class 2 - Gases), Safe Loading Pass, and the opportunity to gain your Category (Class 1 & 2) C + E licence.
  • Ongoing opportunities to upskill in tank testing, confined space, product‑specific training, and more.
  • Maintaining quality tools is important for safety and performance.

  • Essential: Qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or a strong, proven background in the industry.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems, trailers, plant, and workshop equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with a safety‑first mindset.
  • Team player with good communication and organisation skills.
  • Desirable: HGV C licence and ADR (as we will help you obtain these).
