About the role
We are looking for a capable and passionate Sous Chef to lead and inspire our team. This role will report to the Head Chef and you will have full operational responsibility for the kitchen in their absence ensuring that the standard and consistency of each service is maintained. You will lead an established team of talented and committed chefs who will help you deliver amazing dining experiences for our guests. Our restaurants are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the ambience is relaxed and friendly with warm Scottish hospitality from our front of house team and great food from the kitchen.
In this role you will:
- support the Head Chef to deliver consistently great food and lead the kitchen in their absence
- maintain and further improve food standards
- work closely with the Restaurant management team to deliver seamless service for our guests
- ensure that all food safety procedures are adhered to and that the kitchen and store areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness
- lead, manage and develop your team through regular one to ones and training and department communication
- deliver on food GP targets, reviewing performance regularly and implementing improvements where required
To be a good fit for this role you will:
- be a strong leader with great communication skills
- have experience working in a fast‑paced kitchen as a CDP or Sous Chef, cooking with fresh ingredients and delivering consistently high quality dishes
- be a calm and focussed presence in the kitchen during service
- demonstrate a positive approach to training and development within your team
- enjoy working as part of a team and play an active role in the wider team at the Resort
