About the role
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will ensure guest rooms are cleaned to a high standard including all communal areas around the Resort. In this role you will:
- Attend daily morning briefings with Estate Housekeeping Manager to ensure you are up to date about all upcoming business.
- Complete daily servicing and departure cleaning of all rooms, this includes making beds, replacing dirty linen and towels, restocking amenities, polishing, hoovering, and mopping.
- Ensure all communal areas are clean, tidy, and to the high standards Auchrannie expects. Tasks include hoovering, mopping, public bathrooms, polishing pictures, mirrors and furniture.
- Work alongside your supervisor, head housekeeper, and management team to ensure all duties are completed in a time-efficient manner and to an excellent standard.
- Report any breakages or damage across the resort to your supervisor/manager.
- Support your team, and work together to ensure all rooms and communal areas are ready for check-in times.
To be a good fit for this role you will:
- Have a good eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Enjoy working in a busy, practical and physically active role as part of a diverse and committed team.
- Have a positive, friendly and can-do attitude.
- Previous experience would be an advantage but not required as full training is provided.
This is a part-time position and therefore no staff accommodation is available. It would suit someone who already lives on Arran and would fit flexibly around work and home life. Usual start time 9 am. Sunday morning transport provided from Whiting Bay and Lamlash if required. Permanent and seasonal applications would be considered.
