About the role

We are looking for an experienced Night Porter to join our Estate Housekeeping team. This will be a varied and fast paced role where you will complete a range of planned health and safety and building checks, respond to guest queries and help operate our onsite laundry overnight. You will demonstrate excellent guest service skills as to demonstrate the ability to be self motivated and calm under pressure. Previous experience working in a hospitality or night porter role would be advantageous. A driving license is essential for this role.

In this role you will:

  • be responsible for the safety and security of the Resort overnight (2 night porters on shift at all times)
  • respond to guest and team member phone calls and requests
  • complete thorough resort and building walk arounds including lock up and unlock
  • respond to any emergency situations in a calm and responsive way putting guest and team member safety as the primary priority
  • ensure the on call duty manager is alerted to any emergency situations including first aid incidents or fire alarms
  • cleaning and re-set of public areas including lounges as required
  • complete night laundry shifts on a rotational basis
  • liaise throughout the shift with the second night porter to ensure all tasks are completed
  • prioritise the health, safety and welfare of Auchrannie guests and team members

To be a good fit for this role you will:

  • have previous experience in a similar role including some experience of night working
  • be confident in completing all tasks assigned to you and have a flexible, solution focussed approach to work
  • have great time management skills and the ability to prioritise all tasks unsupervised
  • enjoy working as part of a small team as well as the ability to work autonomously
  • demonstrate excellent customer service skills and willing to go the extra mile to find a solution to a problem
  • have a full clean driving licence
  • first aid experience would be an advantage

You will be working on a rolling rota, 5 nights from 7, 10:30pm-7am or 11pm to 7:30am. Weekend work will be required.
