About Auchrannie
Situated on the beautiful Isle of Arran on the West Coast of Scotland, Auchrannie is a unique resort with two 4-star hotels and over forty 5-star luxury self-catering lodges and retreats. In addition to our luxury accommodation, we deliver amazing dining experiences across our restaurants, as well as the chance for our guests to relax in our incredible leisure facilities and book a treatment in our ASPA, Scotland’s first island destination spa.
In November, we will be opening Bay Café by Auchrannie, an exciting new venture in the heart of Brodick. The café will offer great food, and the friendly, welcoming service Auchrannie is known for.
About the role
As a Kitchen Porter at Bay Café by Auchrannie, you will be part of a brand-new team and help ensure our kitchen operates smoothly.
Flexible part time hours available. Shifts will be mainly during the daytime and will include weekends, some evening shifts may also be required. Some flexibility to work across the Cafe and the Resort F+B outlets may also be required.
In this role you will:
- ensure the smooth and efficient operation of pot and pan washes
- ensure all crockery is handled correctly to minimise breakages
- maintain the fabric of the kitchen to a good standard and clean and hygienic at all times.
- complete thorough cleaning of all areas in the kitchen
- adhere to all Health, Safety, and Hygiene regulations and standards
- carry out basic vegetable and food preparation
- manage deliveries for the kitchen
To be a good fit for this role you will:
- demonstrate some previous experience working in a kitchen environment
- have a strong work ethic and good self drive and motivation
- enjoy working in a fast paced, varied and physical role
- have some experience of COSSH, Food Safety and Health and Safety training.
- undertake training as required.
