About the role

We are pleased to offer an opportunity to join our Estate Housekeeping Management Team as Assistant Manager. In this role, you will:

  • ensure exceptional high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained, demonstrating a fine eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
  • work alongside housekeepers, supervisors and head housekeepers to support with completion of daily tasks focusing on standards and training for all team members.
  • lead, retain and develop the housekeeping and porter team and ensure that team members within the department are engaged and happy at work.
  • oversee rotas for the housekeeping and porter teams and ensure resources in line with business levels.
  • support the Estate Housekeeping Manager to write and maintain department SOPs to the required standards.
  • carry out recruitment tasks including overseeing interviews and work trials.
  • ensure that all coffee chats and one to ones are up to date and that team members have clear development plans/objectives in place.

To be suitable for this role you will:

  • have housekeeping management experience gained within a large 4/5 star hotel/resort environment.
  • demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • be comfortable working hands-on within the operation and managing office tasks such as rota writing and inventory management.
  • have the ability to communicate well with your team and help build a positive and fun workplace culture.
  • demonstrate a good understanding of all health and safety and COSHH procedures.
  • possess a full clean driving license.

This role offers great work life balance, working 5 days from 7, standard working hours 9am-5pm. Some flexibility will be required.
