Situated on the beautiful Isle of Arran on the West Coast of Scotland, Auchrannie is a unique resort with two 4‑star hotels and over forty 5‑star luxury self‑catering lodges and retreats. In addition to our luxury accommodation, we deliver amazing dining experiences across our restaurants, as well as the chance for our guests to relax in our incredible leisure facilities and book a treatment in our ASPA, Scotland’s first island destination spa.

About the role

As a Porter you will work with the Housekeeping Managers and Duty Managers to ensure general day‑to‑day duties are completed. It is a unique, fun and fast‑paced role integral to the smooth running of the Resort. In this role you will:

  • organise and deliver linen to the Head Housekeeper each morning
  • provide housekeeping assistance with jobs such as moving luggage, extra beds and cots to and from guest rooms
  • assist with daily deliveries, ensuring contents are moved to the appropriate location and paperwork being passed to the correct manager
  • provide safe transport to and from the ferry for resort guests
  • organise your daily duties and prioritise tasks
  • help reception at check‑in and checkout times by answering phones and assisting with guest luggage
  • set up, breakdown and refresh conference rooms
  • maintain great relationships and communication with duty managers and line managers

To be a good fit for this role you will:

  • have a full clean drivers licence and the confidence to drive all company vehicles, including transporting passengers
  • demonstrate self‑motivation and the ability to carry out daily routines unsupervised
  • have excellent people skills and enjoy interacting with guests and colleagues
  • be solutions‑focused and always looking for ways to improve
  • be physically fit and active and enjoy a busy hands‑on role

Your standard working week will be 5 days from 7, approx 40 hours per week. Shift patterns include 7am-3pm, 9am-5pm, 1pm-9pm on a rotational basis. Some nightshift cover may be required.
