About the role
As a Commis Chef at Auchrannie, you will learn and develop your chef skills and kitchen experience in a structured and fast-paced kitchen environment to help ensure we deliver consistently good dining experiences for our guests. You will work across both Brambles and Cruize kitchen on a rotational basis learning about our breakfast, lunch and dinner services. This is a great development role with the potential to progress to a Chef de Partie in the future.
In this role you will:
- Prepare, cook and present food to the required standard within allocated timescales.
- Ensure all working areas are clean and tidy before and after service.
- Develop skills and ability to carry out a range of duties in the kitchen and demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn.
- Ensure foods are dealt with appropriately on delivery.
- Assist in achieving food profit percentage as laid down by the company.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and standards.
- Assist the Chef de Parties/Sous Chef in the preparation of menu items as required.
- Participate fully in training and development courses and programmes.
- Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time.
To be a fit for this role you will:
- Be passionate about delivering menu items to a consistent and high quality.
- Have a minimum of 1 yearβs kitchen experience.
- Have the desire to learn and progress within the kitchen.
- Demonstrate excellent flexibility and teamwork.
This is a full-time permanent vacancy. Average working week is 45-50 hours over 5 days including some split shifts. Live-in accommodation is available.
