We are looking for enthusiastic Facilities Assistants to join our bank team at The Boswell Centre in Auchinleck. The role offers flexible working opportunities, supporting the day-to-day running of the Centre by opening and securing the building, welcoming customers, supporting Centre users and ensuring the Centre is safe, welcoming and ready for the local community.

About the Role

The Facilities Assistant will support the safe, secure and effective day-to-day operation of the Boswell Centre. The role involves ensuring the building is opened and closed appropriately, following established opening and shutdown procedures, and providing a welcoming and helpful service to customers, community groups and members of the public.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing the Boswell Centre, including the appropriate use of keys and security systems.
• Following established opening, closing and shutdown procedures.
• Welcoming and assisting customers, Centre users and members of the public.
• Checking and operating building security and alarm systems.
• Setting up and operating audio-visual equipment as required.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and general presentation of the Centre, including basic tidying and cleaning where required.
• Reporting faults, maintenance issues or other concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
• Assisting with routine fire safety checks and other basic building safety procedures.
• Supporting the smooth running of the Centre and helping to ensure it remains a safe, clean and welcoming environment.

Working Pattern

As a bank position, shifts will be offered according to the needs of the Centre, with most opportunities expected to be available during evenings and weekends. Occasional daytime shifts may also be available.
