Position Title: Undergraduate Admissions – Student Assistant (Spring 2026)
Job Summary: The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking motivated, forward-facing, results-oriented applicants for the position of Undergraduate Admissions Student Assistant.
Must be able to work during the Spring Semester 2026 (Jan 5, 2026 – May 1, 2026)
The Admissions Student Assistant will be an integral part of our admissions team, welcoming prospective students and their families to Auburn’s campus. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in higher education administration and develop professional skills that will benefit you in your future career.
Essential Functions
- Provide Administrative Support: Assist Undergraduate Admissions staff with preparing, compiling, and printing materials for guests and maintaining the lobby & hospitality areas.
- Data Entry: Accurately input and maintain guest/applicant information in the admissions database (Slate).
- Customer Service: Respond to inquiries from prospective students and their families via phone, email, and in-person visits. Provide general information about the admissions process, program offerings, and campus life.
- Communication: Collaborate with the admissions team to answer email queries about campus tours and general admissions information.
- File Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic files related to admissions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible to work on-campus as a student employee, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled and actively taking classes at Auburn University.

- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service Orientation: Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other student assistants and professional staff members of the admissions team.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database management.
- Enthusiasm: A positive attitude and enthusiasm for promoting the institution and its programs.
