Job Summary
The Student-Athlete Support Services Tiger Tutor Program is designed to enhance student-athletes’ educational experience, which can be accomplished by helping students help themselves. We are excited to begin the search for a Tiger Tutor to join the team!

This posting is an ongoing applicant pool, our peak interviewing/hiring is as follows. Fall term-June/July interviews, Spring term-November/early December interviews, Summer-April interviews. Once staff needs are met each term, this pool is used to pull applicants during a term should a specific class need arise that cannot be met with current staff.
Essential Functions
- As a Tutor, you would play a major role in the student-athlete’s ability to master course material through individual and small group sessions.
- Tiger tutors meet regularly with students to assist them in building active study and learning skills, improving study habits, and developing comprehension.
- Tutoring activities may include reviewing class materials, discussing course readings, creating study guides, or problem solving.
- Tutors are responsible for submitted reports of sessions in a timely manner.
- The Tutor is expected to maintain and respect confidentiality related to the student-athlete, SASS , and AU Athletics, as well as maintain and exhibit a high degree of professionalism and integrity at all times.
- Of utmost importance, tutors must have a commitment to upholding the University’s Student Academic Honesty Code as well as NCAA Bylaws.

- Currently enrolled as an Auburn University undergraduate student
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
- Minimum grade of ‘B’ or better in specific courses tutored
