Temporary assignment to assist with manual labor, equipment operation such as lawn mowers, edgers, string trimmers, pruners, soil mixers, tractors, golf carts/utility vehicles, trucks, chainsaw, etc. Individual will work to maintain the property through weed control either through mechanical (hand weeding or tools) or chemical control (pesticides). Position will help mix soil, plant, fertilize, prune, and any other aspects of plant production. Individual may travel with station staff to do fieldwork or assist with projects at surrounding research stations.
Essential Functions
Position will be spending most of their time working outside in potentially extreme weather 100+ degrees on some days. Position will assist and help maintain, plant, take data, measurements, etc. on current research projects. Individual will work alone or in small groups depending on the current job.

Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver’s license, ability to consistently lift 25-50lbs, able to work in various weather conditions (including in heat and humidity), ability to be at work on time, ability to work alone with minimal direction or in groups settings, able to operate equipment and tools or able to learn how, ability to listen and effectively record data.
