Job Summary
Auburn University’s COSAM is hiring a TES employee to fill various lab technician and field technician positions within the Department of Biological Sciences. Temporary Employment Services ( TES ), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work

Essential Functions
Assist the PI and graduate students to maintain and set up insect populations. Assist researchers in collecting, recording, and maintaining data and data management protocols from experiments. Manage written laboratory protocols and train new lab personnel. Assist with purchasing and inventorying lab supplies. Assist with research outreach & education activities. Assist with logistics and maintenance of equipment. Collecting and organizing P-card receipts each month.

Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in the Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Botany, Entomology, etc.).
Desired Qualifications
Desired qualifications would be previous experience maintaining laboratory populations of animals or plants.
Salary Range
Salary Range $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
