Performs a variety of routine office support duties within the School of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Science (SFAAS).
Essential Functions
- Serve as a point of contact for the school.
- Greet undergraduate and graduate student learners, and school visitors in person or via telephone.
- Assist the Director, faculty, and students of SFAAS on an as-needed basis.
- Monitor work orders and general maintenance needs as they arise.
- Provide administrative assistance, including travel vouchers, purchasing card reconciliation, vendor vouchers, and related documents.
- Support Finance, HR, and Admin staff as needed.
- Support faculty, staff, and students with travel arrangements and reimbursements; book travel (hotels, flights, buses) for trips.
- Assist the Director with internal and external communications, including blogs, newsletters, website content, and social media.
- Follow up on student inquiries and communicate policies and procedures effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working and interacting with students.
- Knowledge of customer service and office-related duties.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Self Service Banner/AU Access, Kronos, Word, Excel, Outlook, Wordpress, social media, website maintenance, PowerPoint, PeopleAdmin, and familiarity with AU policies and procedures are preferred.
Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Hours: 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM (hours may vary as needed)
