Job Summary
The Office of Student Services within the College of Sciences and Mathematics is seeking a highly motivated, futuristic thinking, and hardworking graduate assistant starting in August 2025. The position works directly with the Career Services unit within COSAM Student Services to provide assistance regarding streamlining engagement opportunities within the college. This role will assist office staff in providing these and other services to COSAM students, faculty, alumni, employers, prospective students, and guests.
Essential Functions
- Serve as a student-facing ambassador for COSAM Career Services by delivering exceptional customer service to students, employers, alumni, and campus partners.
- Support day-to-day operations through administrative tasks including data entry, appointment scheduling, and hands-on use of platforms like Handshake, Salesforce, BigInterview, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Assist with event coordination by helping set up, manage, and break down COSAM -sponsored events such as career fairs, employer info sessions, and workshops.
- Provide peer career guidance to fellow COSAM students on foundational career topics including resumes, cover letters, and internship/job search strategies. Training and resources will be provided.
- Assist with the visualization and reporting of career services data using tools like Power BI or Tableau to track student engagement, event attendance, and program outcomes.
- Contribute to data-informed storytelling by supporting the development of dashboards and reports that highlight trends in student appointments, employer engagement, and overall impact.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current Auburn University graduate student pursuing a degree within the College of Business, Human Sciences, Liberal Arts, or Sciences and Mathematics only
- Must currently possess and maintain an Overall & Major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Commitment to attend weekly development trainings as scheduled
- Professional dress and demeanor required
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
