Looking to boost your resume and gain real-world office experience working with employers and professionals? Join the Career Connections Team as a Student Ambassador and help connect Auburn students with meaningful career opportunities.
As the Student Ambassador in Employer Relations, youβll play a key role in helping us build and maintain strong relationships with employers.
As a result of this Student Ambassador position, students will have the opportunity to gain the following NACE Career Readiness Competencies:
- Communication: Clearly and effectively exchange information, ideas, facts, and perspectives with persons inside and outside of an organization.
- Professionalism: Knowing work environments differ greatly, understand, and demonstrate effective work habits, and act in the interest of the larger community and workplace.
- Technology: Understand and leverage technologies ethically to enhance efficiencies, complete tasks, and accomplish goals.
- Reviewing and verifying job postings and employers on Handshake to ensure they meet Auburnβs recruiting standards.
- Communicating professionally with employers through email, phone, and in-person interactions
- Assisting with on-campus employer visits, career fairs, tabling events, and more
- Collecting and organizing employer data and engagement reports to support team projects
- Maintaining accurate records in Handshake and other university career services platforms.
- Supporting department initiatives like experiential learning opportunities and other high-impact programs

Minimum Qualifications
- Detail-oriented, committed to accuracy and consistency
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional and dependable, especially when interacting with employers and stakeholders
- Organized and punctual, with the ability to manage time and tasks independently and as part of a team
- Commit at least two full semesters
- Maintain minimum GPA of 2.75
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in maintaining accurate records
Pay Rate $12 per hour
