Budget and Planning Services at Auburn University seeks a Budget Services Student Assistant! This role is designed for a currently enrolled Auburn University undergraduate student interested in financial modeling, data analytics, and enterprise planning systems.

The student assistant will support the FP&A team by contributing to data-driven decision-making processes, learning technical tools, and collaborating on financial and operational modeling projects.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with FP&A staff to analyze financial and operational data trends.
  • Assist in building and maintaining financial and non-financial models within the Anaplan platform.
  • Support data validation, transformation, and reporting tasks using Excel and other tools.
  • Help prepare dashboards and visualizations for internal reporting.
  • Identify and document opportunities for improvement in data analysis workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled Auburn University undergraduate student majoring in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and a willingness to explore new tools and platforms.
  • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn about financial planning and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Work Hours: 15-20 hours

Location: Auburn, Alabama
