Budget and Planning Services at Auburn University seeks a Budget Services Student Assistant! This role is designed for a currently enrolled Auburn University undergraduate student interested in financial modeling, data analytics, and enterprise planning systems.
The student assistant will support the FP&A team by contributing to data-driven decision-making processes, learning technical tools, and collaborating on financial and operational modeling projects.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with FP&A staff to analyze financial and operational data trends.
- Assist in building and maintaining financial and non-financial models within the Anaplan platform.
- Support data validation, transformation, and reporting tasks using Excel and other tools.
- Help prepare dashboards and visualizations for internal reporting.
- Identify and document opportunities for improvement in data analysis workflows.

Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled Auburn University undergraduate student majoring in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and a willingness to explore new tools and platforms.
- Curiosity and a strong desire to learn about financial planning and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Work Hours: 15-20 hours
