Overview

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking an experienced Assistant / Junior Merchandiser to join our team and support the planning and trading activity across all channels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for menswear, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for market trends. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to execute strategic merchandising plans. The candidate must have a hands-on approach with a self-starter attitude and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Allocations: Responsible for the manual allocation and replenishment across both stores and Eccom. Ensures replenishment parameters are in place to respond to sales so an optimum stock package availability is maintained in all channels
  • Responsible for stores regrading and density planning working with the Retail team to align on current and future linear space plans
  • Weekly analysis of department, product and store performance in order to establish and react to trading patterns and drive performance
  • Awareness of performance at store level for all product areas. Runs weekly store performance reports to propose appropriate action on best performing and underperforming stores
  • Reviews over and under performance at product level and drives trading actions to maximise potential and minimise risk
  • Regularly reforecast sales on continuity lines to make sure stock levels are at the right levels by size throughout the season and propose any action needed
  • Oversees the clearance of stock ahead of upcoming sale events ensuring there is a strategic plan to clear stock within sale periods. Ensures product is placed in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain the WSSI to support stock control of the department and forecast risk and opportunity

Required skills & experience

  • 3+ years of experience in merchandising roles in fashion industry
  • Passion for menswear with a keen understanding of current trends and consumer preferences
  • Strong analytical skills with high level of proficiency in excel
  • Experience of using stock management systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Hands on approach and self-starter attitude
