Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Housekeeping in the overall management of the department, ensuring operational excellence across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
- Play an integral role in the pre‑opening journey, contributing to recruitment, onboarding, creating training initiatives, and the implementation of impeccable housekeeping standards.
- Oversee the daily rhythm of housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public spaces consistently embody the elegant, refined and residential charm of Cambridge House.
- Coordinate VIP arrivals and special requests to create bespoke guest experiences aligned with our values.
- Assist the Director of Housekeeping with recruitment, onboarding, continuous luxury service training, and performance reviews for the housekeeping team.
- Assist in monitoring quality, productivity and staffing levels, ensuring efficient and intuitive scheduling that aligns seamlessly with the evolving needs of the business.
- Conduct meticulous inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, addressing any issues promptly with care, precision and a consistently discerning eye for excellence.
- Work closely with the Rooms and Engineering teams to ensure clear and proactive communication regarding room status, maintenance requirements, guest requests and preferences, and the presentation of back‑of‑house spaces.
- Support the management of inventory and stock control, encouraging mindful and efficient use of resources while maintaining exceptional standards throughout.
- Uphold the highest standards of health, safety and hygiene at all times, ensuring a secure, pristine and beautifully maintained environment for guests and colleagues alike.
- Act as a confident departmental leader in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping, providing calm guidance, decisive direction and unwavering operational support.
