Aubay UK is seeking a Network Engineer to be part of a European project for centralization and globalization of networks, focusing on managing, optimising, and securing campus network infrastructure in Liverpool, covering LAN, WiFi, and firewall environments. The successful candidate will ensure high availability, strong performance, and robust security while driving continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across network services. This is a remote position, requiring travel to the Liverpool site no more than once every two weeks, along with periodic travel to various locations across the EU. Some work outside of working hours (weekends & nights) will be required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong capability in network design, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
  • Hands‑on experience with Cisco Meraki switching, routing, segmentation, and WiFi.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and log‑management tools such as Icinga, Grafana, and Kibana.
  • Experience with security technologies including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
  • Knowledge of DDI solutions (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), ideally EfficientIP.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
