Aubay UK is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support a major Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) transformation programme focused on enhancing business processes, data capabilities, and technology platforms within Gas and Power trading operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, delivery teams, and technology partners to capture requirements, analyse business processes, define solutions, and ensure successful delivery of business outcomes.
This role requires strong business analysis expertise, stakeholder management skills, and experience operating within Agile delivery environments.
The Business Analyst will play a key role in shaping future-state processes, ensuring traceability from business requirements through implementation and testing, while supporting the programme's objective of delivering a scalable, efficient, and future‑ready ETRM platform.
The role will also contribute to driving process optimisation, technology enablement, and business transformation across front, middle, and back‑office functions.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in Business Analysis within IT and technology delivery environments
- Experience working in energy trading domain
- Experience working with ETRM systems (Endur, Openlink, or similar)
- Experience working on Agile projects and delivering within Agile frameworks
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, tools, and methodologies
- Experience educating Product Owners, business stakeholders, and delivery teams on Agile ways of working
- Proven experience capturing and documenting functional and non-functional requirements
- Experience assessing business processes, data flows, and technology landscapes
- Strong business process modelling and business requirements management skills
- Experience creating business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and solution recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation capabilities
- Experience coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities
- Experience working with software vendors, developers, architects, and technical teams
- Ability to manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Experience leading large workshops, design sessions, and business analysis activities
