Aubay is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join our global client in the Financial Services sector. This role requires someone passionate about delivering high-quality solutions across the full project lifecycle - from ideation through to transition and handover. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator, capable of connecting the dots between scope, product, requirements, architecture/design, cross-functional delivery teams, end-to-end planning, and governance. We are looking for someone who excels in stakeholder management, thrives under pressure, and can motivate both themselves and others to achieve results in complex environments. This role requires the successful candidate to be onsite in Solihull three days a week; this is a non-negotiable requirement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Agile Project Management, Scrum and/or PRINCE2 Certification
  • Over 7+ years of experience managing simultaneous complex programmes/projects within Financial Services
  • Experience of working within a matrix management programme and Business as Usual (BAU) environment, Cost estimation, High level plan, Detail Component level plan, RACI & RAIDS.
  • Previous experience with large-scale cloud migration programmes
  • Broad knowledge of IT platforms and technologies
  • Knowledge of Software Application Development in both Waterfall & Agile
  • Self-starter who will work on their own initiative and drive others
  • Delivery-focused / results-driven with effective problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Effective risk assessment and management
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management ability
  • Proven budget control and cost management experience
  • Understanding of key legal and compliance regulations
  • Strong MS Office Product skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Microsoft Test Manager (MTM), Team Foundation Server (TFS) etc.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Follow the established Project Management Methodology and produce key project documentation.
  • Create, manage, and deliver: End-to-end project scope and planning
  • Governance covering Security, Data, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Controls, Operations, PMO, and BAU transition
  • RAID logs and RACI matrices
  • Manage stakeholders, budgets, suppliers, core project teams, and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Prepare project documentation including status updates, exception reports, and specialist briefings.
  • Identify, secure, and deploy internal and external resources effectively.
  • Monitor progress against the project plan, adjusting as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Oversee and review work packages at each phase of the project lifecycle.
  • Lead day-to-day management of teams, workstreams, and delivery to meet project goals.
  • Run regular checkpoints and communication with clients, partners, third parties, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, conduct risk assessments, and define contingency plans.
  • Support decision-making in collaboration with the Project Sponsor and Steering Group.
  • Adapt management style to team dynamics and project complexity.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, adjusting approach as situations evolve.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and data protection obligations.
  • Commit to personal development and required training in line with project and company standards.
