About the Role
We welcome applications for the following roles within the School of Fashion and Creative Industries Management:
- One full‑time Lecturer aligned to Creative Direction and associated disciplines
- One full‑time Lecturer aligned to Media, Marketing and Advertising and associated disciplines
- One part‑time (0.5FTE) Lecturer in Fashion – this post is Fixed Term until April 2027
These roles are school‑based rather than course‑based, supporting a high proportion of shared units and cross‑resourcing. The associated person specification outlines the knowledge and skills required for each post and aligns to course areas, but does not restrict teaching to one course.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver teaching materials, inspiring lectures, seminars and workshops across multiple disciplines.
- Engage in assessment and feedback processes for degree‑level students.
- Work as part of a dedicated school team, maintaining an open‑minded approach to the evolving Fashion and Creative Industries.
- Build and nurture industry partnerships; collaborate on client projects, guest talks and research opportunities.
- Apply digital tools and foster cross‑subject connections to enhance learning.
Qualifications and Experience
- Teaching experience at the degree level in one or more of the course areas: Fashion Design, Creative Direction, Media Marketing and Advertising, or Content Creation.
- Strong digital confidence and ability to integrate technology into teaching.
- Collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and well‑informed about current trends in the industry.
