The Role: Shift Supervisor in the Waste Management - Recycling Sector

Location: London, Staines

Salary: £50k-£60k + benefits (5 day working pattern) + bonus potential

The Company: Our client, in the environmental sector, has an opportunity to join them at their recycling processing site as a Shift Supervisor in their production team. This is an opportunity to work in a strong and stable industry sector providing consistency, longevity and progression.

The Role of a Shift Supervisor: As Shift Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day running of operations during your shift, ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of the site. You will supervise, motivate and co-ordinate the operational shift activities at our client's recycling processing plant. This includes effective supervision of personnel, maintenance of production standards, and adherence to all safety and compliance protocols. You will work with our Production Manager to ensure the shift produces the quality of recycling material required. You will co-ordinate with traffic and product coming onto site to ensure production is constant and efficient. You will ensure that there is a positive Health & Safety culture.

The Successful Day Shift Supervisor: The ideal Shift Supervisor will have experience working within a recycling or waste processing facility. Potentially experience gained in high volume manufacturing or production environment may be considered. Strong people management skills and ability to develop a positive team working environment are essential. Previous experience of working within Health & Safety legislation is required and a positive approach to all health and safety matters is a necessity. Excellent communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do personality and attitude. This role would suit an individual who is keen to develop themselves as our business also grows.
