The Company: Our client, a fast growing organisation in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a track record in the energy sector.
The Role:
- As Electrical Design Engineer you will take ownership of engineering activities through the project lifecycle – through technical design, client and supplier engagement through to installation.
- You will manage and coordinate multiple projects collaborating with our Project management team.
- This is a pivotal role in delivering our client’s energy solutions for commercial and industrial clients.
- As Electrical Design Engineer you will lead on the development of electrical designs and schematics.
- You will work closely with our suppliers and contractors to review their work.
- As Electrical Design Engineer you will provide expert advice for our suppliers and customers.
The Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have a Degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ideally Chartered Engineer status (or actively working towards chartership) through a relevant professional institution.
- You will have proven success in the electrical engineering field, in the design, specification, and/or construction of solar PV and BESS projects, gained within a consultancy, EPC contractor, or developer environment.
- You will have a strong background in relevant projects and applications across the renewable energy sector with a proven track record in complex engineering projects.
- Ability to prepare high-quality technical reports, specifications, and client-facing documentation.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide technical leadership.
- Experience reviewing and approving engineering designs and deliverables.
- You will be calm, pragmatic and structured under pressure.
- You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment with a hands-on approach.
- Highly motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail, with a diligent and proactive approach to project delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A driving license (preferred).
