Atwork Seattle Southwest is seeking an experienced Maintenance and Engineering Manager to lead all aspects of maintenance operations, equipment reliability, and facility management in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage both strategic planning and day-to-day maintenance execution. Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the maintenance team across multiple shifts
  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related equipment issues
  • Lead equipment installations and capital improvement projects
  • Oversee facility infrastructure and utility system maintenance
  • Ensure accurate technical documentation and facility layout updates
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality and equipment concerns
  • Manage spare parts inventory, tooling, and maintenance supplies
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance team members

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance or engineering roles in a manufacturing setting
  • Prior experience leading maintenance or technical teams

  • Familiarity with plastic processing or extrusion (preferred but not required)
  • Proficient in CMMS software, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace
  • CAD proficiency (AutoCAD or SolidWorks); able to interpret technical drawings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in place of a degree

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Regular time on the production floor; walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Exposure to high-temperature equipment, noise, and industrial chemicals
