About the Job:
We’re looking for a self-motivated, team-minded Senior Full-Stack Developer who wants to be part of the live-event space. You’ll work on the European side of our enterprise commerce platform for live events — a fancy way of saying a point of sale, inventory management and robust back-end reporting product offering.
You’ll get the opportunity to collaborate with our product and design teams to build new customer-driven features used at some of the world’s most popular touring acts, festivals and sporting events like Coachella, Bottlerock, Superbowl, Pokémon, PGA Championships, etc.
If you are a Developer who takes pride in seeing your handiwork out in the wild, used by millions, this is a role worth pursuing.
Our Tech Stack:
- Front End: React Native, React, JavaScript
- Backend: Ruby, Rails, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, CouchDb
- Cloud Platform: AWS
- Tools: GitHub, Sidekiq
What We’re Looking For:
- Seasoned full-stack developer with 8+ years of experience.
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals, with matching in-depth knowledge of modern React architecture (including hooks, state management, async actions).
- User-focused mindset; knack for thinking like a fan and a customer, grounded in real-life scenarios.
- System-focused mindset; care about the impact your code has downstream (performance, reliability, scalability).
- A reasonable level of obsession in wanting to solve problems, with a call-a-friend mentality to seek clarity and focus.
- Experience with backend services and asynchronous job processing.
- Experience with native layers on mobile devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product, design and QA to ensure our products and services meet our customer’s needs, are performant and reliable, and minimize unnecessary complexity.
- Own the technical design for projects.
- Architect services and systems using accepted design patterns that allow for iterative, autonomous development and future scaling.
- Anticipate future use cases and make design decisions that minimize the cost of future changes.
- Be considered the expert trouble-shooter within your domain of expertise: lead investigations within area of specialization while maintaining a strong sense of product impact.
- Actively identify opportunities and risks across products and teams, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices.
- The usual dev-activities you’d come to expect like: guiding ongoing maintenance, team technical principles, documentation, managing tech debt, code reviews, component/integration testing … the list goes on …
Nice to Have:
- Swift/Kotlin and Rails experience
- Familiarity with GraphQL
- Experience with front-end testing frameworks
