ATV Services Scotland is looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join our team at our brand new flagship depot in Ayr. You'll work across a wide range of ATVs, utility vehicles, and off-road equipment — diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing and repairs, and supporting junior technicians. We actively welcome applications from technicians with backgrounds in agricultural engineering, motorcycle mechanics, plant equipment, or groundcare machinery. Your skills will transfer directly — full product training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair ATVs, UTVs, and off-road equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance and assembly to a high standard
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using schematics and diagnostic tools
  • Complete job cards and documentation accurately
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding faults and timelines
  • Mentor and support junior members of the workshop team

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • 3+ years' hands-on experience as a vehicle technician, mechanic, or similar — agricultural, motorcycle, plant, or groundcare backgrounds all welcomed
  • Strong knowledge of petrol and diesel engines, drivetrains, and vehicle electrics
  • Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic equipment
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Direct ATV/UTV or off-road equipment experience
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent
  • Motorcycle mechanics background (many of our machines use motorcycle-derived engines)
