The Role
As the Site Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the whole site. The role is based at our Preston site to ensure the day-to-day maintenance of a busy manufacturing unit. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the key responsibilities associated with this role are:
- Repair work to brick walls around the factory, e.g. pointing, brick replacement, re-bedding work, etc.
- Demolition of walls and structures
- Building of new walls and structures
- Groundworks around the factory
- Roofing & guttering repair work
- Repairs to and replacement of flooring, e.g. timber, asphalt, tarmac, concrete, etc.
- Building of internal structures, e.g. timber stud walls, etc.
- Other general building maintenance tasks, e.g. rendering, painting, etc.
- Procuring materials as required to fulfil duties, as well as liaising with suppliers/local wholesalers
- Liaising with third-party contractors for work beyond our scope
