Our client is a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of industrial laminates, composite materials and machined components. They are focused on delivering a quality product portfolio, supported by great service, excellent response and over 155 years’ experience of getting it right.

The Role

They’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join their manufacturing team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of their laminating, pressing, weighing and varnishing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Press:
    • Operate presses
    • Carry out trimming
    • Provide press support operations, including material preparation such as cutting and steel management
    • Operate and monitor ovens and control systems
    • Use lifting equipment
    • Carry out measurement and inspection activities
  • Weighing:
    • Oversee, operate and action all requirements of the Weigh department
  • Varnishing:
    • Mica Varnish
    • Work within the Part Mark and Sanding work centres and carry out associated operational requirements
  • Stock Control
  • Measurement and Inspections
  • Secondary Role:
    • Assist colleagues within the department when required
    • Perform general housekeeping tasks
    • Use the business system for production management via PC terminals
    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
