We are building a different kind of therapy platform, and we are looking for therapists to be part of it.
The company Attune is a therapy platform built on a simple idea: that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of whether therapy works. Most directories still match on modality, availability, or logistics. We look at something deeper: relational fit; how a therapist thinks, relates, communicates, and shows up in the room, and how that meets the person sitting across from them.
We are preparing to launch later this year, currently anticipated for September 2026. We have already onboarded a wide range of practitioners across different clinical orientations, including counselling psychologists, person-centred counsellors, CBT practitioners, psychodynamic therapists, art therapists, integrative therapists, and addictions specialists.
We are selective. Attune is not a high-volume listing site; we are building a carefully curated network of thoughtful, skilled clinicians. So far, roughly one in three therapists we interview goes on to join us. We look for quality of clinical presence, relational depth, authenticity, and professionalism. We particularly welcome practitioners who are comfortable being themselves in the room, and who value genuine therapeutic connection over rigid branding or performance.
The role is a freelance, remote role for therapists who want to build and sustain meaningful clinical work within a platform designed around relational fit. Clients are matched to you on relational alignment, with the aim of supporting work that connects more naturally, develops more readily, and creates the conditions for deeper therapeutic engagement. You keep full clinical autonomy, including how you practise, how you structure your work, and how you set your fees. We look after the surrounding infrastructure: client matching, visibility, and the administrative flow around it. Attune works on a simple 15% commission, which covers client acquisition, platform infrastructure, therapist visibility, and ongoing development.
A note on interviews: we hold these over Zoom, and it helps us to get a sense of what it might be like to be your client. For that, we ask for a clear, unblurred background and a setting that feels welcoming. We discourage AI-generated backgrounds, because we want clients to feel invited into your actual space.
What we're looking for:
- Accreditation and/or registration with a recognised UK professional body (for example BACP, UKCP, HCPC, HGI). We would consider other bodies as long as they are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
- A recognised, substantive qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working therapeutically with adults, or with your stated client group.
- A thoughtful, relational approach, with the ability to build and sustain a strong therapeutic alliance.
- Confidence in carrying out assessments and holding ongoing therapeutic work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work with a diverse range of clients.
- Comfort delivering therapy remotely and using digital platforms.
- A clear commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional standards.
- A professional-quality profile photo.
- A professional, confidential remote working space for video sessions (we ask that you do not use blurred or AI-generated backgrounds during client sessions).
- Capacity to take on a minimum of five hours of client work a week (flexible).
