An established and forward-thinking investment management firm is seeking a Data Platform Support Analyst to join their growing technology and data function. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a vital part in supporting the firm’s data and investment platforms, with a particular focus on equities and bonds. It’s a role that sits at the intersection of operations, data, and technology – ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, collaborating across teams, and ensuring data quality in a high-performing environment.
As part of a small, close-knit team, you’ll be responsible for managing the smooth flow of data across front-to-back systems, troubleshooting exceptions, and performing root cause analysis to maintain accurate and timely positional data. You’ll work closely with investment teams, compliance, operations, and external vendors, ensuring business users have reliable data to support their decision-making processes.
This role also involves contributing to projects, helping write specifications, supporting user acceptance testing, and being a key point of contact for both internal stakeholders and third-party service providers. The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues is essential, as is the capacity to take ownership of issues while remaining a collaborative team player.
The ideal candidate will bring strong SQL skills, experience working with data management platforms such as Markit EDM or RIMES Matrix, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Familiarity with order management systems (e.g. Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, ThinkFolio, Aladdin), portfolio accounting tools (e.g. Linedata, Simcorp), or enterprise scheduling systems like Control-M or VisualCron would be a significant advantage.
They are looking for someone with 4-5 years experience and a solid background in investment operations or technology – someone who enjoys mentoring junior colleagues, building relationships across teams, and improving systems and processes from within.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected investment firm that truly values integrity, responsibility, and long-term thinking – both in its investment philosophy and in the way it supports and develops its people. The role will pay up to £60k + bonus dependant on experience.
