Attribution Search is working with a leading macro hedge fund focused on global macroeconomic trends, currencies, commodities, and fixed income strategies. This dynamic, fast-paced firm is expanding rapidly and seeking a highly motivated Operations Analyst to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in operational processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily trade capture and ensure trade details are accurately recorded across internal systems.
- Reconcile trades between front-office systems, brokers, and custodians to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with trading desks to ensure smooth settlement of trades, resolving any discrepancies quickly.
- Monitor portfolio positions and ensure that transaction records are aligned with portfolio management systems.
- Assist in calculating performance metrics and conducting analysis on risk and return.
- Track capital inflows and outflows and coordinate cash management and margin requirements.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, positions, and cash movements across various portfolios.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to senior management, providing insights on portfolio performance, risks, and liquidity.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as required by stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies.
- Operational Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies or gaps in operational workflows and propose solutions to improve overall efficiency.
- Work closely with internal teams (Compliance, Risk, and IT) to streamline operational processes and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
- System Management & Integration:
- Help implement and test new systems and technologies as part of the firm’s growth and scalability efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any system-related operational issues, working closely with the IT team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry systems, software, and best practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2-6 years of experience in operations or trade support within a hedge fund, asset management, or investment bank. Previous experience in a macro hedge fund or related trading environment is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas), Bloomberg, and other financial platforms. Experience with portfolio management systems and reconciliation software is beneficial.
