High Performing Multi Strategy Hedge Fund seeks to attract a Risk and Product Control/P&L Analyst. You’ll work directly alongside Portfolio Managers and senior decision-makers, helping to drive investment insight, risk oversight, and performance analysis across a diverse multi-asset portfolio.
This is an opportunity for an incumbent currently sitting in risk analysis or P&L on trading positions, who is looking for more exposure and understanding on what is really driving portfolio performance, investigating complex market moves, and using technology and data to improve how investment information is analysed and delivered.
You’ll gain broad exposure across risk, portfolio analytics, treasury, and work closely with quant in understanding the curves and the models and what truly impacts them.
The Opportunity- On desk, analysing the key drivers behind portfolio performance and explaining significant market moves.
- Daily P&L production, reporting and validation across portfolio, trading and treasury activities.
- Working with Portfolio Managers to understand changes in risk and exposures.
- Explaining P&L movements to Portfolio Managers and Risk.
- Investigating complex valuation or data issues across a wide range of asset classes.
- Working closely with Quant on deep dive analysis of curve construction and analysis.
- Building tools and automation that improve how investment information is captured and reported.
- Supporting the implementation of new products, strategies, and investment ideas.
- Shape the funds adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions.
- Hedge Fund background in risk reporting, P&L or attribution analysis.
- Strong product suite, ideally multi product, inclusive of Macro RV Fixed Income.
- Evidence of front office engagement on position reporting and commentary.
- Experience with Python, SQL, VBA, R, or similar analytical tools.
- A degree in a relevant discipline; CFA qualification or progress towards CFA would be advantageous.
- Naturally curious and motivated to understand the 'why' behind the numbers.
- Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Comfortable taking ownership and solving problems independently.
