Attribution Search is partnering with a well-established financial services firm in London to hire a Management Company Accounting Analyst. This role would suit a Big 4–qualified accountant looking to make a first move into industry, or someone already in an investment management finance team who’s ready for a broader and more challenging position. It offers strong exposure across financial reporting, operations, and more commercial aspects of finance, all within a growing and fast-moving environment.

You’ll be involved in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, working closely with controllers to ensure everything is delivered accurately and on time. Day to day, that includes posting journals, maintaining the general ledger, handling cash and balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing accruals. You’ll also support the preparation of financial statements and liaise with external auditors through the year-end process. Alongside this, you’ll review key account balances, contribute to monthly reporting, and assist with regulatory filings across different jurisdictions.

The role also has a more commercial side, with exposure to forecasting and ad hoc analysis for stakeholders across the business. There’s scope to get involved in improving and automating reporting processes, as well as supporting a growing CLO platform and tracking investor commitments.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 2–5 years’ experience, either from a Big 4 firm or within asset management or financial services. A strong grounding in financial reporting, solid technical skills, and advanced Excel are all important, along with a proactive approach and willingness to take on responsibility.
