About The Role
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work directly with a highly qualified and experienced Associate Director, supporting their large high-net-worth (HNW) client bank. It offers an exceptional opportunity to learn from one of the best in the industry. As an Associate Financial Planner, you will provide high-calibre, long-term tax and lifestyle financial planning services to Attivo clients. Working in partnership with the Associate Director, you’ll support and help service their client bank. You’ll be instrumental in building strong, long-term client relationships, ensuring their needs are met compliantly and efficiently, while helping to maximise new business opportunities and retain our growing client base. You’ll be an ambassador for Attivo, representing our core values and behaviours, and raising the profile of the business and the profession with both internal and external stakeholders. As a business, we fully support hybrid working and have both home and flexible working policies. Your base office will be Fareham, and you can expect a mix of office working, working from home, and travelling within the Cardiff area to meet clients.
About You
You will be a qualified Financial Planner, holding at least the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and working towards Chartered status. You’ll have experience in either a Paraplanning or Trainee Financial Planner role, and be ready to take the next step into a client-facing advisory role. You may already have some experience in an advisory position, but are looking for a role that offers exceptional support, development, and mentorship to become an outstanding Lifestyle Financial Planner. You are an excellent communicator and can influence and coach clients, building trust and long-term relationships with our HNW client base. You thrive under pressure, work with high standards, and can confidently manage and prioritise your own workload.
Main responsibilities
- Developing life plans with and for our clients, using cash flow modelling and SMART objectives
- Delivering the ‘Attivo service’, where every client feels like they are our only client
- Attending client meetings, initially alongside the Associate Director, to support the delivery of advice and recommendations aligned with clients’ goals
- Adhering to compliance procedures to ensure regulatory obligations are met and the business is protected
- Keeping up to date with financial regulations, products, and technical knowledge
- Providing full disclosure of the advice process and all associated charges
- Conducting in-depth reviews of clients’ financial circumstances and aspirations
- Ensuring all advice and recommendations are suitable and clearly understood by clients
- Following through with clients and providers to ensure timely business completion
- Maintaining high standards of file quality and compliance
- Supporting the business in handling complaints in line with FCA guidelines
- Proactively seeking and generating new client partnerships
- Keeping CPD records up to date and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of pensions, investments, and estate planning
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Diploma-qualified Financial Planner (CII)
- Experience in a Paraplanner or Trainee Financial Planner role
- Proven track record of delivering excellent service and advice
Salary and benefits
£45,000 to £55,000 depending on qualifications and experience, plus bonus.
