About the role:


We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Senior Mortgage Adviser to join our established financial planning team in Cheltenham.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable mortgage professional who wants to take the lead on all mortgage and protection advice within the business. While you’ll work closely with another Mortgage Planner, this role is designed for someone confident working with autonomy, managing their own caseload while acting as the senior voice of mortgage advice in the firm.


You’ll deliver high-quality mortgage and protection advice to new and existing clients of Attivo, maintaining excellent relationships and ensuring compliance, efficiency, and outstanding service. You’ll represent Attivo’s values in everything you do and play a key role in growing and shaping this area of the business.


This is an employed position with a competitive base salary and a bonus structure designed to reward strong performance.


Based at our Cheltenham Head Office, you’ll work flexibly across a mix of office, home, and in-person client meetings around the Gloucestershire area. We support hybrid and flexible working through our dedicated policies.

Key responsibilities include:



  • Providing expert, independent mortgage and protection advice tailored to each client’s needs and objectives.

  • Building long-term, trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Leading on mortgage strategy and advice within the firm, acting as the senior specialist in this area.

  • Working closely with Financial Planners to identify opportunities and deliver seamless client service.

  • Preparing thoroughly for client meetings and following up with timely, compliant documentation.

  • Staying up to date with market trends, regulatory changes and product developments.

  • Supporting the mortgage application process and guiding clients through their journey.

  • Managing relationships with lenders, estate agents, and other third parties.



Essential skills and experience:



  • CeMAP or CII Certificate in Mortgage Advice.

  • Protection qualification with current authorisation to advise.

  • Demonstratable experience in a similar role, including both mortgage and protection advice.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and explain complex information clearly.

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the UK mortgage market.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Proficient in IT systems and confident working in a hybrid environment.



Desirable skills and experience:



  • Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER) or equivalent.

  • Experience advising on equity release products.
