About the role: We are looking for a Mortgage Adviser to join our established financial planning team in Cheltenham. This is a great opportunity for a motivated mortgage professional who is looking to build their experience in a supportive, high-quality environment. You’ll work closely with our Mortgage Planner and Financial Planners, helping to deliver clear, compliant mortgage and protection advice to new and existing clients of Attivo. You’ll be responsible for managing your own caseload with appropriate support, ensuring clients receive excellent service throughout their mortgage journey. You’ll also help maintain strong relationships with lenders, estate agents, and other third parties, always reflecting Attivo’s values and commitment to outstanding client care. This is an employed position with a competitive base salary, bonus potential, and opportunities to develop your technical and advisory skills. Based at our Cheltenham Head Office, you’ll work flexibly across a mix of office, home, and in-person client meetings around the Gloucestershire area. We support hybrid and flexible working through our policies.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing clear, independent mortgage and protection advice tailored to each client’s needs.
- Working closely with the Mortgage Planner and Financial Planners to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Preparing thoroughly for client meetings and producing timely, compliant documentation.
- Supporting clients through the mortgage application process from enquiry to completion.
- Building positive relationships with clients, lenders, estate agents, and internal teams.
- Keeping up to date with key market changes, lender criteria, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all advice meets compliance standards.
Essential skills and experience:
- CeMAP or CII Certificate in Mortgage Advice.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, including both mortgage and protection advice.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and explain complex information clearly.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the UK mortgage market.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Proficient in IT systems and confident working in a hybrid environment.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER) or equivalent.
- Experience advising on equity release products.
- Protection qualification with current authorisation to advise.
