About the role

Our Finance team sits at the heart of Attio's growth – ensuring accuracy and compliance while acting as a strategic partner to the wider business. We provide the visibility, control, and insights that help teams make smarter decisions, scale efficiently, and operate with confidence. As Attio continues to expand, Finance plays a critical role in shaping the systems, processes, and structures that will sustain our next phase of growth.

As a Financial Accountant, you'll play a key role in running the day‑to‑day finance operations across our entities. This is a broad, hands‑on role with real ownership – spanning core accounting, payroll and compliance, and reporting. You'll bring rigour, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset to everything you do – from daily reconciliations to monthly reporting. You'll work closely with teams across the business, helping ensure our financial processes are robust, scalable, and support a fast‑growing, global company. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and building high‑quality financial operations in a high‑growth environment.

What you'll do

  • Own day‑to‑day accounting: Manage bookkeeping across entities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, expenses, and supplier onboarding.
  • Support receivables and cash flow: Assist with receipt chasing and credit control.
  • Deliver month‑end processes: Prepare accruals, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain financial accuracy: Ensure clean, reliable data and strong financial controls.
  • Support payroll and operations: Prepare UK payroll inputs and liaise with global providers.
  • Manage tax and compliance: Support VAT returns, indirect taxes, and tax reconciliations (including Stripe/Xero alignment).
  • Contribute to reporting: Support monthly reporting and build simple dashboards for decision‑making.
  • Improve processes: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and introduce automation.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally: Work closely with Finance and wider teams to support smooth operations.

What you'll bring

  • Strong accounting fundamentals: Experience across core accounting processes, ideally in SaaS or tech.
  • Professional qualification (or working towards): ACCA qualified, or currently undertaking an ACCA qualification.
  • Month‑end and controls experience: Comfortable with reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Systems proficiency: Strong Xero knowledge; Stripe or similar tools a plus.
  • Payroll and tax exposure: Experience supporting UK payroll, VAT, and compliance.
  • Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and ownership over outputs.
  • Analytical mindset: Comfortable working with data and improving processes.
  • Collaborative approach: Works well across teams and functions.
  • Comfort in fast‑paced environments: Able to manage priorities in a high‑growth setting.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000
  • Equity in an early‑stage tech company on an incredible trajectory
  • 25 days holiday plus local public holidays
  • Apple hardware
  • Private medical insurance through AXA
  • Pension contribution through Hargreaves Lansdown
