Attic Salt® is an identity transformation studio crafting bold, strategic brands that demand attention and drive action. We’re looking for a hybrid Motion + UI Designer to elevate the storytelling, speed, and precision of our digital output — adding a new layer of capability to an already high-performing team. This role sits at the intersection of brand, motion, and product. You’ll take thoughtfully crafted brand identities and bring them to life across digital experiences — translating strategy into motion, systems, and interfaces that feel as intentional as they are engaging.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Motion, Animation & Storytelling (60%)
- Create brand reveal teasers, launch moments, and hype reels that generate excitement and emotional buy-in
- Develop motion systems that extend and elevate static identity systems
- Produce high-quality motion assets for web, social, and digital applications
- Deliver polished, production-ready files with strong attention to timing, pacing, and detail
- Web & UI Design (40%)
- Translate approved visual directions into full digital experiences
- Design pages, layouts, and components that scale within a system
- Build clean, structured Figma files ready for developer handoff
- Ensure pixel-perfect execution across breakpoints and screen sizes

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of branding and how motion and UI extend a brand system
- 2–4+ years of experience in a branding, digital, or creative studio environment
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, scalable systems)
- Strong understanding of developer handoff and implementation requirements
- High proficiency in After Effects with a refined sense of timing and motion
- Ability to both concept from scratch and extend established creative directions
- Exceptional attention to detail — alignment, spacing, hierarchy, and balance matter
- Organized, structured workflows that support scale and collaboration
- Proactive, accountable, and able to execute without constant oversight
- Curiosity around tools, workflows, and emerging technologies (including AI)
- A portfolio that clearly demonstrates both motion and UI work
Bonus Points
- Experience with Webflow, Framer, or similar tools
- Experience with 3D tools like Cinema 4D or Blender

As a fully remote team, we heavily use ClickUp, Miro, Google Drive, and sometimes email for communication and collaboration.

STRUCTURE & BENEFITS
This position is a contract-to-hire (1099) for the first 6-12 months. 40-hour work week with schedule flexibility. Work remotely. Closed national holidays. Holiday Break: Company-wide holiday break between December 24 and January 2. Generous bonuses for new business referrals.
