Attic Salt® is an identity transformation studio crafting bold, strategic brands that demand attention and drive action. We’re looking for a hybrid Motion + UI Designer to elevate the storytelling, speed, and precision of our digital output — adding a new layer of capability to an already high-performing team. This role sits at the intersection of brand, motion, and product. You’ll take thoughtfully crafted brand identities and bring them to life across digital experiences — translating strategy into motion, systems, and interfaces that feel as intentional as they are engaging.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Motion, Animation & Storytelling (60%)
    • Create brand reveal teasers, launch moments, and hype reels that generate excitement and emotional buy-in
    • Develop motion systems that extend and elevate static identity systems
    • Produce high-quality motion assets for web, social, and digital applications
    • Deliver polished, production-ready files with strong attention to timing, pacing, and detail
  • Web & UI Design (40%)
    • Translate approved visual directions into full digital experiences
    • Design pages, layouts, and components that scale within a system
    • Build clean, structured Figma files ready for developer handoff
    • Ensure pixel-perfect execution across breakpoints and screen sizes

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • You bring brands to life through motion and web in a way that feels intentional — not decorative
  • Clients buy into our collective ideas with little to no requests for changes
  • Your team finds it seamless to collaborate and communicate with you
  • Your files are clean, structured, and easy for developers to implement
  • You move quickly without sacrificing precision or craft
  • You proactively identify gaps and solve problems without being asked
  • Your work consistently elevates the perceived quality of our clients and our work

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of branding and how motion and UI extend a brand system
  • 2–4+ years of experience in a branding, digital, or creative studio environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, scalable systems)
  • Strong understanding of developer handoff and implementation requirements
  • High proficiency in After Effects with a refined sense of timing and motion
  • Ability to both concept from scratch and extend established creative directions
  • Exceptional attention to detail — alignment, spacing, hierarchy, and balance matter
  • Organized, structured workflows that support scale and collaboration
  • Proactive, accountable, and able to execute without constant oversight
  • Curiosity around tools, workflows, and emerging technologies (including AI)
  • A portfolio that clearly demonstrates both motion and UI work

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Webflow, Framer, or similar tools
  • Experience with 3D tools like Cinema 4D or Blender
