A fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a growing and friendly accountancy practice. This role offers excellent exposure to a varied client portfolio and the chance to develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
We’re looking for a confident communicator with a strong client-focused approach. You’ll have a minimum of 2+ years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice, along with solid working knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks.
In this role, you’ll manage bookkeeping and compliance responsibilities for multiple clients across a range of sectors, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Maintaining client bookkeeping records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Raising sales invoices and managing the purchase ledger
- Preparing and filing P11D and P11D(b) forms
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Assisting with accounts preparation
- Supporting payroll processing (Sage Payroll experience desirable but not essential)
- Managing credit control and debtor follow-ups
- Handling ad hoc administrative tasks as required
We’re seeking a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail. You’ll have experience preparing VAT returns, dealing with HMRC, and knowledge of P11 submissions. AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be desirable but is not essential.
