Practice Overview
Attenborough Surgery is a long established, award‑winning, forward‑thinking GP practice. It has approximately 33,000 patients across four surgery sites within 15 minutes of each other, serving the populations of Bushey and Watford. The practice is located less than 5 minutes from Junction 5 of the M1. Attenborough is a single practice Primary Care Network, a well‑established training practice, and is respected for its collaborative working, training, teaching, and personal development opportunities.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with independent prescribing to join our team of pharmacists and other health care professionals. You will support the GP team with their routine EPS workload using EMIS and work from one of our surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary support to GP staff with prescription and medication queries.
- Support the repeat prescription system (including EPS), manage acute prescription requests, conduct structured medication reviews and medicines reconciliation on transfer of care.
- Support safer prescribing systems and provide clinical medicines advice within our single practice PCN.
Qualifications & Experience
- Independent prescriber (IP qualification).
- Qualified from an approved 18‑month training pathway or equivalent (e.g., CPPE Clinical Pharmacist training pathway).
- Experience working within a GP practice.
- Ability to practice and prescribe safely and effectively in a primary care setting.
Hours
Full‑time role available.
Salary
Dependent on experience.
