This is a newly created position offering the successful candidate the opportunity to help shape the role, improve existing products and influence the company's future technical and product strategy.
The Role:
As Technical, Service Manager & Heat Pump Engineer, you will bring strong practical experience of heat pump technology and a genuine understanding of how systems perform in the field.
You will be responsible for supporting technical and service requirements while also contributing to product development, system improvements and the ongoing growth of the company's product range.
This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems and wants the opportunity to have a genuine influence within a growing manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and engineering support across the company's heat pump products.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and controls-related issues.
- Support commissioning, fault finding and troubleshooting of heat pump systems.
- Provide technical support to customers, installers and other stakeholders.
- Oversee and improve service processes as the business continues to grow.
- Work closely with engineering and product development teams to identify product improvements.
- Feed real-world field experience and technical knowledge back into product development.
- Support the development and improvement of heat pump systems and controls.
- Assist with system design and technical specifications where required.
- Help develop technical documentation, processes and best practice.
- Contribute to future product strategy and the continued development of the product range.
- Travel within the UK when required to support customers, installations and technical requirements.
About You:
We are looking for someone with genuine, hands‑on heat pump experience rather than simply someone with a technically relevant CV.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working with heat pumps in a practical engineering environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
- Excellent knowledge of heat pump controls and associated systems.
- Experience with sensors, commissioning and fault finding.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Experience working with heating or renewable energy systems.
- System design experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.
- A practical, hands‑on approach to engineering and problem solving.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues.
- A forward‑thinking approach and a genuine interest in developing products and processes.
