Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider. We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to produce accurate and timely financial information for the Group, explain performance clearly to business stakeholders and support informed commercial decision-making. The role will take a leading part in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit support and the continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000, depending on experience. Company benefits also include:

This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday anytime from 7.30am - 5pm (Flexible working) and Friday is always 8am - 4pm.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for the Group's trading entities and holding company, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and relevant supporting schedules.
- Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods, highlighting significant variances, trends, risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with external auditors, prepare supporting schedules and respond to audit queries.
- Work with the Group Financial Controller and operational leaders to improve financial planning, cost control and commercial performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the finance team, providing support during month-end and other peak reporting periods.
The ideal candidate:
- Fully qualified accountant with a recognised UK accountancy body, such as CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS or Chartered Accountants Ireland.
- Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles, month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Excellent IT Skills.
