Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client who are a leading, expert provider of disinfection, sterilisation & decontamination solutions in recruiting a Service, Test and Repair Engineer.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £48,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, annual company performance related bonus and bi-annual company social events!
This is a full-time role Monday– Friday.
Reporting to the Technical Service Manager, your responsibilities will be:
- Attend reactive callouts to breakdowns
- Diagnose and repair broken down equipment
- Support to Service & Test team in the event of machines breakdowns during routine service and test
- Commission and Validate autoclaves and washers to prevailing standards or procedures at customers sites, including report generation
- Provide excellent customer service and support in person, by phone and email
- Work as part of a team to support colleagues
- Promote products and services
- Other duties may be assigned
The ideal candidate:
- Strong communication skills required for interaction with all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of autoclave and washer disinfector service, testing and repair principles and techniques
- Working knowledge of steam, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical/electronic control systems
- Ability to systematically fault find in both mechanical and electrical systems (electromechanical)
- Ability to read and understand highly technical material
- Ability to interpret and use both Mechanical and Electrical drawings including P&IDs
- Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’S) and quality system requirements
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership, customers, and health authority/regulatory officials
- Highly computer literate with regular use of Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and working knowledge of TQ Soft and IP Reports
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of electromechanical diagnostic techniques and skills

- WTM1 Washer disinfectors – Periodic Testing

- STM2 Large porous load sterilizers – Quarterly Testing
Good knowledge of electromechanical diagnostic techniques and skills, Any of the following:
- HTM2030 Washer Disinfectors – Periodic Testing
- ENG05 Washer Disinfectors – Periodic Testing
- HTM01-01 Part C Steam sterilization
- HTM01-01 Part D Washer-disinfectors
- ENG06 Porous Load Sterilizers – Annual Testing
- ENG18 Vacuum Benchtop Sterilisers – Annual Testing
- STM3 Large porous load sterilizers – Annual Testing & Revalidation
- WTM1 Washer disinfectors – Periodic Testing
