Are you an experienced Procurement Manager? Do you have experience within Service/Manufacturing? Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Procurement Manager to join the team.

The main purpose of this role is to work within the Service Team. The Procurement Manager will develop and implement procurement strategies for Service and Manufacturing, with particular focus on obsolete parts.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension after probation, possibility for a 1pm finish on Fridays and Christmas shut down. This is a full-time, permanent role. The hours of work will be Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:00 & Friday 08:00 – 15:30. Once settled you have the option to work 30 minutes longer during the week to finish at 13:00 on Fridays.

Reporting to the Service Director your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for manufacturing and the service business.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Managing inventories and ensuring that product stock levels are maintained.
  • Identify and manage obsolete products, ensuring they are replaced with up-to-date and compliant alternatives.
  • Ensuring products and components purchased meet regulatory requirements and standards including obtaining supporting documentation.
  • Undertake supplier audits and evaluations in coordination with the QHSE team.
  • Identifying new potential suppliers and maintaining relationships with existing ones.

The ideal candidate:

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Business qualification.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Professional Membership of CIPS is desirable.
  • Similar duties within an HVAC (or similar industry) company is desirable.
  • BaaN experience is desirable.
  • Driving license.
